ABDA-NL is a research prototype for exploring assumption-based defeasible argumentation. By using the public service, you agree to use it responsibly and in accordance with these terms.

Research use and limitations

The service is provided for research, education, and demonstration. It is not legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other professional decision support. Model-generated explanations and edit proposals can be incomplete or wrong. Review every proposal before applying it.

The ABDA engine, rather than the language model, computes the displayed argument graph and conclusion labels for the supplied scenario. That separation does not establish that a user-authored scenario accurately represents the real world.

Your content

You retain responsibility for material you submit. You grant the project a limited permission to process and store it only as needed to provide, secure, recover, and maintain the service. Private project content, model prompts, and model responses are not analyzed as research data. Do not submit material that infringes another person's rights or that you are not permitted to process through the selected model provider.

Acceptable use

You must not attempt to disrupt the service, evade usage or budget limits, obtain another user's private project, expose or misuse credentials, send malware, or use the service in violation of law or provider policies. The project may rate-limit, suspend, or disable access that threatens users, the research service, or its funded budget.

Funded trials and personal keys

Funded trial credit is limited, has no cash value, cannot be transferred, and is available only while the research budget and service remain active. Trial eligibility does not guarantee uninterrupted model availability. If the service loses a worker after a provider request may have started, it may deduct the full conservative reservation because it cannot prove that the provider did not bill the request.

If you bring your own API key, you are responsible for the provider account, charges, usage limits, and provider terms. Use a restricted or disposable key when the provider supports one. Revoke the key directly with the provider if you suspect exposure.

Sharing and agent access

Anyone who receives an active share link can view that shared project version. Anyone who receives an active MCP token can exercise its granted scopes. Treat these values as secrets, set reasonable expirations, and revoke them when they are no longer needed.

Availability and warranty

The service may change, pause, or end as the research project evolves. It is provided as available, without a promise of continuous operation or fitness for a particular purpose. Keep independent copies of work you cannot afford to lose.
